Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR)

This CDC site includes ToxFAQs, Toxocological Profiles, the HazDat database, hazardous waste sites, emergency response information, and more. Includes the ATSDR newsletter, Public Health and the Environment.
CDC: Environmental Health

The CDC provides a starting point for information on environmental health. It includes thematic topics primarily for health consumers, with some professional/research material. There are also links to CDC publications and data, a major events calendar, and to the home pages of the National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) and the ATSDR.

Environmental Health and Toxicology The NLM Specialized Information Services provides links to information resources, including regulations and policy, specific chemicals, searches from NLM databases, relevant organizations, and Spanish language resources.

EPA Envirofacts

Search several EPA databases, including the Toxic Release Inventory (TRI), for detailed information on hazardous and toxic substances. Topics include waste, water, toxics, air, land, radiation, and maps.
HAZ-MAP HAZ-MAP is a database that links hazardous job tasks to occupational diseases and their symptoms. It is a relational database of chemicals, jobs, and diseases. The 1149 chemical and biological agents in the database are linked to industrial processes and non-occupational activities, indicating the potential for exposure to an agent. The 183 occupational diseases are linked to findings (signs and symptoms of the disease) and hazardous job tasks, with an increased risk for significant exposure and subsequent disease.
