Kinnier Wilson was born in Cedarville, NJ, December 6, 1878.  His father, the Rev. James Kinnier Wilson, was a minister at the Cedarville Presbyterian Church from 1874 to 1878.  Shortly after Wilson's birth, the family moved to Scotland, where he was educated at George Watson's College and Edinburgh University.  In 1904 he began working at the National Hospital and in 1912  first described hepatolenticular degeneration, known as Wilson's Disease. <p class="subhead">Sources</b> <p>Birch, C.
