Department of Obstetrics/ Gynecology
Schedule
Lecture Schedule for 2007 - 2008
- During the course of the rotation you will be expected to attend didactic conferences and case presentations as listed below.
- A word about “mandatory” conferences: Use your judgment for attendance of mandatory conferences. If you are in the middle of a delivery, don’t drop the baby to run to the conference, finish the delivery! On the other hand, if you’re in clinic, don’t start seeing a new patient 10 minutes before the conference is due to start. If you’re in surgery holding a retractor, ask politely to be excused for your conference. On the other hand, if the patient is exsanguinating and you are desperately needed then stay and help!
- Above all, use your own judgment and discretion, and get to the conference as soon as you can!
- All conference slots are one hour unless otherwise indicated.
- The lectures may be presented in various formats, i.e. didactic lectures, clinical case conferences, group discussion/debate, or EBM (evidence based medicine).
- The general student conference schedule is available as an MS-Word document.
