2.The minutes of November 17, 2006, were approved.

3. Student Curriculum Committee Activities were discussed.  The Whitman Society topics for spring 2007 were discussed.

4.The Committee considered requiring passage of Step 2CS as a prerequisite for graduation.  The class of 2006 Step 2CS results and communication from the Step 2CS Patient Note Program Director were considered.  The committee voted to support requiring passage of Step 2CS as a graduation requirement under the following conditions:

    1. It must apply for the first time to the Class of 2009; it must not apply to the Class of 2008 which already began its clinical education.
    2. This change in graduation requirements must be carefully monitored since the scoring, equating and grading process is in the middle of being changed.  Thus, the requirement should be revisited in the next several years.

5.The new RWJMS pass/fail standard for M1 and M2 was reviewed.

6.Converting the objectives-based curriculum to a competencies-mapped curriculum was discussed.

There being no other new business, the meeting adjourned.
